How to Have Bigger Faith Than Fears

how to run a marathonClick to read PART 1

Mile 3: I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as the mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. Matthew 17:20

Person: Linda W.

Linda is so encouraging and inspirational to me.  Not only is she a lovely woman of faith, but recently she donated one of her kidneys to her brother.  WHAT!!???  She CHOSE To give a part of her to give her brother the gift of life.  I’m in awe.  If the surgery alone isn’t enough of a daunting feat, there were special nutrition plans and health guidelines she had to follow.  And then…the money.  YES, the thousands of dollars that needed to be raised in order to make this possible.  But God says “NOTHING WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE”.  Linda and her family continued to have faith and believe and pray — and others prayed with them and for them — and how cool is it to see God moved the mountains!!  I continue to pray for Linda and her brother as well as their care givers and family, but I also PRAISE God for his awesome works!  We must have faith!

Mile 4: To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. Luke 19:26

Person: Kim P.

I actually first met Kim on Periscope!  She and I have a great deal in common.  We both have chronic illnesses, we both blog and actually have a common local connection!  Can you say SMALL WORLD?  Kim faces pain on a regular basis due to her illness.  She could choose to just live with it — but instead, she works to educate others on how to not just survive a chronic illness, but to actually PROSPER and live a life of purpose.  I will be praying for her ministry and her health on mile 4.

Who inspires you?  I’d love to hear the stories of organ donors or recipients and also of people who you know living with a chronic illness.
