Okay, I was skeptical. Really? I’m going to burn calories with pilates and yoga and NOT jam my joints and kill my knees and jump like a crazy woman? ….you expect me to believe that?
…but I gave it a whirl because the truth is I NEEDED it to be real. I had done other Chalene Johnson programs before and I believed in her and had seen results with Beachbody products.
And it was amazing! If you have been following my journey for a while, you know I’m a runner….and running is HARD on the body! PIYO is an awesome combination of high intensity and low impact moves to improve your flexibility, stamina, and strength. Studies show that a more flexible muscle has greater strength potential which leads to better results. The training you get during PiYo allows you to burn incredible amounts of calories that you wouldn’t in a static type workout.
You wouldn’t think a workout inspired by yoga and pilates would still able to provide that cardio workout! But this 35 minute workout will leave you completely spent. And you’ll probably even be sore the next day! PIYO works!
